You cant go to the FOS until 8 weeks have gone by.

If the bank gives a final determination before the 8 week limit you can go the the FOS at that point.

Thank you all for your helpful comments.
The eight weeks from my first letter is up today! (But not if they don’t count weekends!).
I received their reply, with the complaints leaflet, saying they would deal with my complaint 'as quickly as possible' 6 days ago on the 14th December 2010.
Do you think this type of reply is a delay tactic by TSB as they haven’t actually said they are putting my complaint on hold?
    Thanks again. :)

    Hi there

Hope you hear soon with a good outcome on this, good luck.

I had all sorts of timescales with my few dealt with these.
However, they were all in my favour at the end of it and did often go over the 8 weeks, but there is no harm in contacting them for an update, in case a letter have gone in the post, and maybe the weather issues have delayed matters too in regards of any post that have been sent out.

If you email them, remember to give your claim number details too, good luck.
