You are under no obligation whatsoever to tell them why you want to Sign off. "It is none of their Business". As long as you tell them the last day you want to stop claiming.
This is 100% true. But for some reason whenever I have signed off and not given a reason on the book I have gotten a phone call saying that I haven't put a reason for signing off and that I need to put a reason.
The JSA book itself says that no reason is required. I wonder why they insist on you putting a reason? Can any clarify what would happen if one refused to leave a reason altogether?0
