    This is 100% true. But for some reason whenever I have signed off and not given a reason on the book I have gotten a phone call saying that I haven't put a reason for signing off and that I need to put a reason.

    The JSA book itself says that no reason is required. I wonder why they insist on you putting a reason? Can any clarify what would happen if one refused to leave a reason altogether?
