ok, a proper MSE update for once:

Mr LT got paid on friday so new budget has been produced for a new house.
I've erring on the side of caution and assuming that we will have a full payment to make on the second mortgage (implication being that we WILL move in February.

things will be tight, but they are doable and we can always cut some things back. Things are certainly not as tight as they once were.
in the spirit of the 'pay all your debts in 2012' challenge i am putting aside another £100 towards Mad Mavis which means i'll pay over £250 and have this in my savings account so i can pay off early. Now i've made the decision that Mad Mavis will be gone by the end of 2012 it shall be!

starting with the MSE stuff: aka the small things stuff
Got two loads of washing outside drying, one of which was washed in cheap leccy, feels good to get it outside (isn't that sad) and it's very blowey without the cutting cold so it will mostly get dry :)
defrosting chuck for a sunday roast. (another thing out of the freezer :) )

    not so/ semi MSE stuff
    went out spending yesterday:
lunch out with Mr LT (£5 off voucher)
bought dishwasher for new house (£130 off with all functions that they really expensive ones have), negotiated a good deal on some dishwasher tablets as well :)
bought new deep fat fryer, had a voucher for money off after purchase of dishwasher and needed a new one and will save heading to the chippy.
got a pair of curtains for new spare bedroom, half price in dunelm sale.

all stuff that was necessary and we have the money for them from funds saved for house related costs, and all purchased in the most MSE way possible.

hope everyone has had a good sunday/weekend.
I've got a chuck finally cooking in the oven, we'll probably do the roast tomorrow but it needed cooking,
got the chestnuts Mr LT bought himself at christmas in the oven roasting.
got a rice pudding in the slow cooker, was gonna do it in the oven then realised i gave my casserole dishes to the charity shop because i never used them duh!

no more boxes packed this weekend, so i feel like a failure but i did get my two loads of washing dry outside, the house is and feels like a tip! i really hate all these boxes being about but there's not much i can do about it really. Just feels like this is going to last for weeks - which it probably is :(

Hi LT, don't beat yourself up. Can you not focus on one room, and leave one box in there and decide what is going into it... i.e. Books, and if there are any books from other rooms you can get them when you are going to that room. Then a box for any ornaments/photos and work like that. Even set yourself a target say put on your favourite album or even a song and pack things into a box whilst its on.

uni we're actually within spitting distance of being packed, there's about 1 or 2 boxes of stuff left in the living room, one box in bathroom, probably 3-4 in bedroom, then all the clothes/bedding/ duvets/ towels etc from there and the airing cupboard and then the whole of the kitchen but i've decided that can bloomin wait until we have a date.

congratulations Uni, can't wait to see piccies, can i be their auntie?

think we've got the sparkie bit sorted now (fingers crossed they'll accept the certificate we can't do anything other than what we've done)
still awaiting a response from the planners and now from the old solicitors that was used to buy this place, it never rains but it pours.

thanks for the offer Uni, i'm sure we'll get there in the end i'm just not sure i'll not need extra hair dye bottles by that stage. wish i had little puppies to cheer me up.
