We are looking to fly to miami next november on specific dates.
Seats are just about to be released by a few operators.
Usually i would shop around but as we have specific dates to travel is there anything to gain by hanging on. Just to note its not in school holiday period by the way...
Experienced flight booker thoughts appreciated.

If the dates you want to go on are likely to be popular then consider that demand will only push the price up. Thanksgiving may also increase demand in November.
Btw Delta/AF/KLM are starting non stop flights LHR-MIA.
Fort Lauderdale FLL flights can be cheaper if you want North Miami, but these flights are indirect with one change of aircraft and outbound immigration.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Thanks Richard,
Any idea when KLM/AF/Delta are starting??
BA flights are available now. Will hang on and see what KLM etc come up with.
Suprising to me that i can fly Heathrow to madrid and then direct to Miami with Iberia for £100 less than BA direct..... daft!I save so I can spend.0 -
Just found this..

Looked at those previously Richard.... £355 each way!!!
May drop once the market becomes a bit more active when other seats are released?
KLM/AF also selling a bit steep at the moment for dates in october.
Will keep monitoring the net.... thanks for the advice. Seems the days of bargains popping up early have slipped away.

Usually 11 months prior to travel is when most good flight prices are0

Impossible to tell if waiting is best.
I booked flights to Miami last year 8 months before and with a month to go the prices were a lot higher.
This year a complete reversal, the flights are £100 cheaper now than the price I paid in June.
Win some, Lose some, I suppose - at the end of the day price is dictated by demand.0 -
Agreed.
My only saving for the flights next year is its not school hols for a change.I save so I can spend.0 -
If you want to fly BA, book before midnight tomorrow, 15th, as BA have announced this morning they are increasing all fares by at least £10 as they are increasing the fuel surcharge on all long haul flights. If they get away with it, in other words if bookings still keep coming in, you can expect the others, particularly Virgin to follow in the near future.0
