Best Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband Dongle?

  • Interesting deal from three, but its not clear from the website, how long further top-up last for, looks like it might be only 30days.

Yes, top-ups last for 30 days only once your initial PAYG has run out. I took out this plan and if you've got decent 3 coverage in your area it really is an excellent deal imo.

    Darn, darn, darn.

Having just renewed my dongle contract with Orange I've discovered, via another thread, eBay deals like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-MOBILE-BROADBAND-SIM-CARD-3G-E160-E1550-3GB-DATA-INC-/290505783263?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_PCMCIACards&hash=item43a37e77df

This SIM gives you 3GB and 3 months to use it in. The 3 months starts from when you first use it. Would have been perfect for me! Darn.

Ah well, I'll know next time.

If the SIMs work for you, buy a few expiry date permitting, whilst the prices are low. After three months, chuck it and use the next.
  • I notice while not exactly payg, three seem to have a sim-only internet deal, which offer 1Gb per month for £5 a month. I guess if 1Gb is enough its cheaper than some of the pay as you deals. Anyone know if you can use these sims in the three usb dongles or mifi?

If from the same network, yes.
  • Hello All, I have A Hauwei E169 Dongle on the 3 network. Can i still use that sim in it, as it's a good deal. It says in the listing it works with E160 & E1550. Just double checking before i go to buy one.

Hi i already have a three dongle (which i pay monthly for)

but i also had a vodaphone mobile broadband sim (which i used in an unlocked dongle). this sim came with 1gb data pre loaded but had no expiry date/time.........so i used it now and again spread over 4-5 months, until the 1gb ran out.

From reading above are people now saying this kind of sim doesnt exist anymore? Does NOBODY know do a sim that will last more than a month?!

i need a mobilebroadband sim (somthing not on three) which does not expire at teh end of the month.....do these still exsist?

    thanks.....

Existing users can still get 1GB for £15 without expiry, as long as you use it once every 6 months.

iphone + unlimited data tariff + Jailbreak it and get PDA-Net application then mobile internet is free!

i'm sure this will work on most phones too, as long as you have unlimited data it will be fine.

i'm using it now temporarily untill my broadband gets installed and it's surprisingly fast.
