buyer threats that make you do a lol

dabbled with playtrade earlier this year, didn't like it/get much success, so i gave up

just had an email from a hillman (first correspondence from her evar), threatening me with legal action and that she has contacted both trading standards and fraud squad, over a £5 remote control for the xbox that she bought on 11/8/10 !!
I still havent recieved my item that you have recieved payment for and is now in the hands of trading standards and fraud squad.

clownshoes joker.

what else has made you laugh recently from buyers?

This might be a daft question but did you ever have a xbox remote for sale? I ask because i had serious issues with playtrade telling people they had bought my item and taking their money, but never telling me nor removing my item from display. They just kept apologising for an error in their system but it worried me so much i actually closed my account.

I sold an old house phone on ebay, they worked but the LCD screen were not working so not much use.
In the listing & title i said Faulty twice, spares & repairs in the twice.
They sold for a few ££, a week or so later i got an email from the buyer telling me that they were faulty.

  • I put my entire collection of wwf/wwe dvds on ebay, well over £600s worth, I put them on buy it now for £130. the postage would be £20 because of the weight (ive already had this checked), i set my thing to auto deny any bids that didnt match my evaluation and one joker bid £3.

then she messaged me asking if i would accept £100 INCLUDING the postage in that cost.

so she would have been getting over £600 worth of dvds that include some very rare and sought after items for 80 quid.

i told her where to go and got a tirade of abuse back.

    lol.

But you're always going to get buyers hoping to get items for a lower price. £3 is just stupid but couldn't you have just messaged back with a counter offer when she suggested £100?

Never a good idea to tell someone "where to go". Always be polite. If you can't manage that, perhaps you shouldn't have used the Best Offer option.
