Think you took my post the wrong way, But some people are over protective.
Family friend took her son to A&E for..... ACNE....
After they said go away, She went to her GP several times, Doctor told her he is 15 eats sh*** everyday.
Eventually gave her some cream which didnt work.
After a while he got a girlfriend and started washing properly, eating better and they went.
Becoming a culture of i must blame someone and claim compensation.
You would have taken it back to the shop and told them it was crap and got a new one and a lolly if you were lucky.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

certainly not a case of blame to claim.. if you read carefully, I was asking who i deal with in my first post, as i didn;t know who to go to , manufacturer or the shop.
To be honest, if it was as trivial as some here are making out then why has the toy been recalled?!
Taking a teen to a & e for acne is daft.. and this is not comparable.
And for the previous poster, the infection was there before they put the bandage on, and he isn't allergic to plasters.
So, to all you parents who think its funny, think of the fact that now because of my son the toy has been removed from the shop, which is the best part of this accident, so no other kiddie has this happen to them. 0 0

How on earth can you know if the infection was there at the initial cut, do you have microscopic vision?0

I think this might have been meant to say "Show me a toy made in Britain" ??
I doubt you would find many toys made in Britain in a supermarket.
It does not matter where a toy is made though, it still has to adhere to UK standards to be able to be sold in the UK.
It looks like this toy does not, so the supermarket ought to be removing them from the shelves of all stores and making a recall IF they can show that this is not a one off situation.
Hopefully the child will recover from this.0

are there personal spats between members of this forum which travel over into sarcastic comments in threads? This forum reminds me more and more of a student forum I go on, people post sarcastic and idiotic comments but then they're trolling on purpose..not sure quite what's going on here?0

Well they're very different forums function wise, I was just wondering why some of the comments seemed so unhelpful, I mean I'd understand it if it was ridiculous opening post but it's a valid query. I guess for some reason I expect more mature responses on here as logically it's not going to have many young teenagers, but with such a large member list you're bound to get those who enjoy being confrontational for the sake of it. Apologies if you thought it was aimed at you personally, just an observation that I've noticed more unhelpful comments in threads in the last few months.0

I have no idea.... but there are quite a few offering 'advice' who are actually just being rude, ignorant or sarcastic!:mad:are there personal spats between members of this forum which travel over into sarcastic comments in threads? Oh, and to the previous poster, no, I don't have microscopic vision... I am going on what the nurse said when we arrived at hospital.
I don't actually see why I need to justify myself to anyone here- my son is STILL not great, he's allowed the sling off now, but is so miserable and cries a lot, it's spopiling the run up to Christmas when he's in his first proper nativity etc.
I see so many posts about not getting money returned from a dvd, or a tv etc.. and they get sound advice.. when it comes to a matter that has affected a child's health, it's treated with scorn.
What a sad place this is, I think those who have used this to have a good laugh need to grow up.
If I was to post a photo of his hand I think some of you would be shocked- we are not talking about a minor scratch!
Now I suggest those who cannot offer decent advice crawl back to their caves, and go bother someone else, as when you're feeling worried and emotional about your child, messages like these really don't help.:(:( 0 0

Me too Joey, shame that some people are so shallow hey!
Obviously not a place to come if you need sound advice! 0 0

posting a photo may help hun, seeing the severity of the injury may bring forward some decent advice.0
