glad everything worked out kind of ok ish (2 free meals in one day has to be congratulated for pure dfw style alone ;))

My bets were on dr who being your boss and taking you for a round the universe trip in his tardis or you being in a lottery syndicate and spending your time shopping lol

Yes I have no life to have to make up things for other people ;)

I tell you what looby75, David Tennant can take me for a spin anytime!!

Maybe we should all write a book together, page each at a time, do something creative with all this imagination.

    Glad you're OK.

Was wondering at what point the responsible citizen/ MSEer should invoke/involve the powers that be to investigate and protect lol:rotfl:

  • Gah, you know what this reminds me of? When I was a lil' kid, and on the run up to Christmas, my parents had been quietly slipping a comment here and there about what they had planned for me, what presents they *might* be getting and where we would be going during Christmas and Boxing Day. Come Eve I was so hyped up I just couldn't keep still - but was my present the brand new Nintendo I was gasping and screaming for? Ohhhhhhh no, it was a damn game of Monopoly. And that day out was just a meal, although nice, at a restaurant.

    LETDOWN :(

    Hi Lou,
if only being moaned at in a pub was a verbal warning. I would get one every friday.
They would have to write and invite you to a formal disciplinary hearing if they intended to go down this route. It is done in work, usually with a more senior manager/notetaker present.
Rest assured, this was not. Put it all behind you and move on.
    Good luck.

McBirnie there is no point posting now & trying to be all serious & grown up - we know you were lurking on here and trying to hone up on alien languages in case your negotiating powers were required:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . (or should that be chicken language:confused: )

loopyloulou - next time you go awol please make up entertaining story when you return, preferably involving Indiana Jones, just for me;)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • At least you are ok! Sounds as though it was an informal chat, not a warning, sounds as though others will be talked to as well, so wouldn't worry. I think the fact that he took you for lunch showed that they do value you, or he could have just had the chat in his office.
Just a thought... if we are all going to talk like chickens, do we have to use fowl language!?! X
