Fed up with cold calls

New developement to day telephone rang stopped before I picked up dialled and it was British Gas but they left a freephone number to call if you wanted to be taken of their list.
I have also signed up to TPS but this does not seem to stop all calls.
I think I will ring BG at least it should stop them and the call is free.0 -
do any of you people read what people are posting?I ask them to remove the number from their list. Not sure if this works as they all sound like Indian call centres

if any of you could be bothered to read the type of business they are involved in you will realise the bloody TPS is of no bloody use.0 -
If you have Caller display, the calls from India come up as "International".
We let them go to the answer machine. (But they never leave a message)I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
