Talktalk - Unwanted marketing calls

I have just received yet another marketing call from Talktalk DESPITE my marketing settings being set to "NO" for both Talktalk and 3rd parties (Verified it on account settings during the call)
The call came from 08009886009 - and calling that number does NOT give an option for not being called again ("You have been called by Talktalk, we will call you again")
I've received yet more empty promises I will be put in their do not call list, but clearly they pay no attention to that as they made the promise last time.
Apart from complaining loudly, what comeback do I have to actually put teeth into do not call breaches?

When they call you again, ask them to suppress your number.I worked for O2 in their call center cold calling P&G customers & we were told that if a customer asks for their number to be supressed, you have to supress the number or the calling company can be fined quite heavily.0

They promised to do that last time and the time before that.
It hasn't stopped marketing calls coming in again about a year later each time.0 -
Unsurprisngly, "Kershen Grovender" of the South African call centre has failed on his verbal promise to send an email immediately (he quoted the address correctly), acknowledging there was a problem and then to followup on investigating it.
It's about the level of customer service I've come to expect from TalkTalk. Thankfully it's usually fairly reliable on the connectivity side.0 -
yes i keep getting ( daily ) calls from TalkTalk about my contact with them ( it expires in january )
It appears they want to sign me up for another 2 years and give me free broadband....I already have Virgin media broadband..
And for this i will receive a sum of £3.91 off my bill..

FWIW: I had a chat to consumer Direct and they were more than happy to take a complaint about the call and the lack of remove option when calling the displayed number back.
They also said that anyone else experiencing unwanted marketing calls from Talktalk (Especially if they've previously opted out of marketing calls) should file complaints too.0 -
I followed up to several people on the TalkTalk forums complaining about the same issue, advising them to contract consumerdirect.
Those postings have been removed. I wonder why...?0
