Not really chains

Can anyone recommend some rubber type "snow chains."? I'd like to buy some that will be OK for part snow/ice, part tarmac journeys. Preferably easy on/off.

Winter tyres. No such suitable thing such as chains you can leave on.

I realise that, but I've seen Autosock advertised, just asking if anyone knows others or can recommend rubber non chains.

Anything rubber you can put on will feel like driving on cobbled stones when on tarmac and not do your suspension any favours.

Lol, from past experience, snow chains don't come in that option.

    Michelin Easygrip is one option.

I have no experience of them, but a good search might produce some reviews.

A pair of Autosocks arrived today, delivery took 3 days. They seem well made but I'm not sure how they will perform. They reckon they are easy to put on & take off. I haven't tried but the way they are made it's not possible to do it wrong (unless you put them on the non drive wheels) The instructions say to take them off when you reach tarmac. I reckon if you failed to do that they would perhaps last 10 miles. I may have a chance to try them later in the week, I'll report back whether it was £50 well spent

Edit - They say not more than 30mph. 15-20 seems more like it.

We've got about 5" of snow, but we don't need to go out. So they'll get tested another time ( Got flu anyway)
