2.0 should not need a password to see basic info on router page , but will need it when accessing settings .
also Homehub 2.0 does 802.11n grade wireless with WPA2 security. pretty much the best you can get in both departments . your not using the best settings if you aren't on them . true some older laptops ect may not be able to get 802.11n but your Xbox does .
if its a new one or has the newer adapter.remember the brought the N adapter out later

i used to get nat problems with connecting my xbox to my laptop to allow it to use the wireless in the laptop
if you are connecting it to a laptop try briding the ethernet and wireless connections that normally solves it.
i have 1mb connection but my isp throttle it back in the evening to thrid speed and my ping goes to about 180ms so yours should be alright at 70ms0 -
It is a 2008 vintage xbox with wireless adaptor of same age if that makes a difference?
I have gone through the suggestions about settings and also disabled firewall so will try it and see what happens.
I have also been told home hubs are common for causing gaming problems how true that is I don't know,I have a brand new sky router at home would it be possible to get that working with Bt BB to test if the above does not work?0 -

there is no need to disable the firewall , just plot a route through it ( port forward) .disabling the firewall is opening you up to all sorts of trouble .
if you can get into to disable the firewall you can follow a few simple step by step instructions to forward a port .
thats all you need to do with the Homehub 2.0 and Xbox live . it will work and cure the Strict NAT . mine is playing just perfect .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

i have disabled the firewall as a test and it plays so much better,i have also assigned an ip address manually in the xbox settings and in the homehub specified the ip and xbox live.
sorry i done really have much of an idea about these sort of things with what i have done with ip would that be what you are referring to?
i will enable the firewall again as i dont want anyone to hack the lappy.0 -

am i not saying it right ???
i'll say it again , you need to forward a port !!! the port the Xbox live uses to talk to your Xbox . your simply plotting a route through your firewall , so your Xbox and Xbox live can talk to each other . Strict NAT simply means your Xbox is talking to Xbox live but Xbox live trying to talk back is being blocked by the firewall
you do not need disable your firewall , the IP addresses you have will be fine .
here is how to do it ..... again .
open up your routers home page by clicking this
http://bthomehub.home/
then follow these step by step instructions for Homehub 2.0 from the line where is says click settings
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/BT/BTHomeHub2/XBOX360_Call_of_Duty_-_Modern_Warfare_2.htm
or are you just trolling now ? this is so easy .. follow the instructions on the above page !!!
everything else i have mentioned is do with your wireless in general and using your homehub 2 to it's best ability .
your can carry on using WEP wireless security , your current wireless channel , your default standard of wireless if you want . leave them , change them later , it does not matter. the port you forward will stay the same and still work unless you do a Master reset on your hubBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
