A tip for anyone on Orange pay as you go

If you're topping up a tenner a month or more, you might save some money doing this.

Once youve topped up, text "MINS 5" to 6620, it'll take a fiver of your credit and you'll have 100 minutes (£20 worth) of calls that last a month.

Then text "TEXTS 5" to 6620, that'll take another fiver, and you'll get a month's unlimited texts.

Bingo, 100 minutes and unlimited texts for £10 on your pay as you go. If you were doing it "the normal way", you'd get 50 minutes OR 100 texts for your £10.

If you were spending more than a tenner a month, surely you'd be better off going on a Sim-only rolling one month contract than anything on pay as you go?

But if you top up a tenner you get 300 free texts anyway?

Plus depending on what tariff you're on, you can get free internet also which means you've still got the £10 left to spend on calls or more texts.

The tip was mainly meant for people who never call, but hammer the texts or internet heavily. I know people who top up £30 a month to get the "free unlimited texts", then never use the credit.
