its quite difficult. purple suits me best, but thats an individual thing.
i'm just as blind in bright sunlight as i am in total darkness, so wearing tinted lenses restricts what i can see.

but in order to preserve the sight i have,im told to avoid uv.
    stinks lol

Has anyone tried to go through a thing called "Access to work" I dont remember if they were going to pay for glasses but they were going to pay for overlays and bits. I did not know about Access to work until my manager mentioned it - well worth looking at as it might cover glasses if you require them for work, but please dont quote me on that as im not sure!

    Hope this helps someone.

I've used access to work, no help with glasses but they fund my coloured lined paper
  • For testing, I took my daughter to see Ian Jordan, when he was located in Cambridge.

He now operates a practice in Ayr, so geographically not too far away from you now.

It was one of those things, where once she was tested, and we saw the results, I felt it was best to stay with these specific lenses.
    She has 90% red lenses.

As part of a separate OT assessment, they tested her with and later without her glasses. Wearing them can result in a 50% improvement in the way she sees and processes information. So it was good to have independent verification of the difference these make.

Their website has information regarding funding, as it's different for Scotland.

I found this with the overlays and coloured paper. One issue I had as a child, was writing on white lined paper and staying between the lines. I now have coloured lined paper and my writing is so much neater. Reading is much easier now. I do still need large print; but that's due to lack of vision and nothing to do with irlens.
