Getting out of a sky bundle contract ?

Hi i hope this is the right place to post,

My partner recently, well a few months ago, switched from virgin media over to sky,
TV, BB, and Telephone package, basically i want to know if we can get out of the contract.

Im sorry i dont know all the details of what packages hes taken out, i think the original contract ends in July next year.

I dont know what he was thinking when he signed up, i think he thought we would get a lot more HD channels, but but has we have found out we would but have to pay extra for these or at least extra for the ones he actually wanted, sky sports ect!

The first month he had all the channels he wanted and the bill was over £100 per month, since then hes reduced the package and he now pays approx £60 per month for the bundle not inc. telephone charges.

This is still almost double what i was paying when we had Virgin.

Is there anyway we can leave this contract early and switch back to virgin

Not without paying the remainder of the contract at your current subscription rate plus a charge for disconnecting the broadband as you're not requiring a MAC code to migrate back to VM Cable.

I thought the full Sky world package was maxed at £61.00 the first month could have been more with installation charges or a month in advance etc.. for £60 a month you should have every channel available INCL the HD versions. (except specialist channels such as MUTV)

This would all have been very clear when ordering, if your partner feels he has been misled and was given different details then obviously you have an out.

Like i said, i dont really know the full details for the packages hes signed up for, i do know hes currently paying roughly £60 per month, this is for the broad band, homephone and HD TV bundle.

I not sure why its so high, we dont have any extra channels like he first did with the sky sports ect, these were cancelled after the first months bill!

I thought it would be the case that we/he would be locked it the contract, but thought id ask just incase, unfortunatly i dont believe it was misold, OH isnt a DFW and often doesn't look before he leaps! Luckily he can afford to pay the £60 a month, but to me it just seems an awful lot considering we dont get anything more than we were with Virgin.

Once again Thanks for your replies.
