What does it mean if the codes aren't being accepted? when I power it up it still asks for the restriction code.

as long as you entered code with a non tesco sim in then you have run out of tries so direct unlock only now
what did it say when you put the code in?

yes, it just came up with code error.

does that now mean I need to take the phone somwhere to unlock it? How come the codes I tried never worked?

you need to take it to someone with unlocking hardware
i dont know if your other codes were correct?, but ive found that the code settings dont always work on these - it seems nokia have changed some of the new phone settings

Forgot to say above: imei: 35907800-302863-9-02 on Vodaphone (sony eric j220i) . I got it in a vodafone shop for GBP 20 as it was reconditioned but their rates and reception is not such a bargain (12p a text! Want to switch to Tesco where it's 5p a go! cheers, h
