Help please,

Got a Nokia 6230i, IMEI 359394007450384,it's on Virgin mobile. I want to put O2 sim in.

Do I put the O2 sim card in before putting in the code? Phone asks to insert sim. Foolproof instructions reqd as I don't know what I'm doing.

Put your 02 sim card in the phone 1st then enter the code

I am thinking about buying a Sony Ericsson k800i but want to know if it can be unlocked so I can use it when I visit Australia (I have an Australian sim card). Most of the information I've found is about unlocking Nokias so I don't know if that means you can't unlock Sony Ericssons.

Last year somebody on here helped me to unlock my Virgin phone so I could use an Orange sim card. I guess I havent used the Orange card for a while and when I tried to use it last week the phone no longer recognises it. What's gone wrong??!
