Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in your phone. When it says phone restricted, press ‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code, and enter the code in to the box on screen, and input that code.

worked a treat thanks
somebody should issue a health warning with Tesco phones.
They reckoned it could have been up to a month to unblock it
