Weekly bank statement frequency current account suggestions?

Can anyone tell me of a bank which offers a current account that will issue printed statements in the post weekly. If so, what's the name of the account, even if its no longer on offer.

Thanks!

  • Hi,

Not sure if this helps at all and may sound patronizing but not intended.
Why dont you just get online banking and you can see and print your statements there?

Unless one is performing and reconciling a huge number of transactions per week, I really can't see the need for weekly statements TBH.

If the idea is to get earlier notice of anything that might be an issue, then online access would be much quicker anyway.

It will help if the OP would explain what she or he needs them for. Since the original post mentions accounts that are no longer on offer, perhaps this is for some kind of research.

I don't know of any bank account that has ever offered weekly statements as a matter of course, -certainly not for free. Some banks will send them weekly for a fee, e.g. First Direct charge £4.50 per month for weekly statements. They will even send them daily if you are willing to pay £20 p/m. But, as you can download them online for free, why on earth would you want to pay for frequent statements?

COOP Bank send statements after a certain number of transactions - so if you can send 30 x 1p to the account per week they will send a statement every week free of charge ;)

The Co-op Bank definitely sent weekly statements and Nat West. I found it a great nuisance even though at some stage I must have requested them. I now use Smile. We get emails telling us one is ready at the end of a month and I take copies as mentioned above.

At one stage Girobank used to send a statement every time a credit was made to the account. Great for the weekly paid. Certainly RBS will send a statement on request, but I'm not sure if they have any restrictions on the quantity they'll send without charge.

How many transactions on average per week does she use?

For most people monthly statements are perfectly adequate.
