Ditto!
Plus Cumin0 -
Chilli powder, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Curry Powder, Mixed Herbs, Basil, Oregano, Sage, Black (or mixed) Peppercorns, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Ground Ginger, Mixed Spice all get used here.
I also have some fresh mint growing in an old bucket (stops the beggar from taking over the whole garden!). Often take off the young top shoots and freeze them.0 -
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme (where have I heard that before?)
Mixed herbs (but when current jar runs out, will replace with both Basil (perfect with tomatoes) and Oregano
Chilli powder (hot - you use less so it lasts longer)
Cumin (used for both Indian & Mexican dishes - the Spanish got it from India and then took it to the New World)
Garam Masala (a mix of "warm spices" - that's what it means)
Turmeric (stains, but fades in sunlight)
(GM + chilli powder + turmeric = DIY universal curry powder)
Paprika (from sweet peppers - richest natural source of vitamin C)The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Thank you all, am going to have a good look at this and pick some. I'll probably end up buying most and leaving the ones that don't fit in the spice rack in my cupboard!2022 wins: PS5 bundle, SSD drive, luxury truffles
