Better than current orange deal (sim only)?
Hi,
I'm on an orange sim-only deal (1 month rolling contract). For £15, I get 400 minutes, unlimited text messages and 500mb of data. I've been having a look around and Tesco seem to beat this with their £10 sim only monthly deal.
I buy my own phones outright so am not interested in a subsided phone or the like. What are people's experiences of the Tesco network? (It's 02's network right?) is there a better deal out there for the same sort of money?

In terms of network Tesco is exactly same as O2 and O2 do have a very good network if sometimes a bit busy and oversubscribed.
Tesco was doing a 750 min unlimited text and web for £10 deal.0 -
https://www.tescomobile.com/sim6 is the current £10 deal until end December. The data is not unlimited but is 500mb per month.
I've just asked about whether it's true they are constantly overloaded on another thread of my own too. My current supplier , Voda, says that Tesco is having problems with O2 as they network share and O2 prioritises its own customers (??)0 -
OK, so I got onto Orange retentions this morning, and told then I wanted to give 30 days notice so I could switch to Tesco; now I wasn't expecting them to make any sort of deal as I never actually spend over the £15, that's all they get off me, anyway, the (very polite and pleasant) lady on the phone says she will take a look and see what she can offer for me - I was expecting at best for them to simply match Tesco - instead, they gave me 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of data for the same £15 I'd always been paying!0

I asked Vodafone to match the Tesco deal or offer me something more and they.....said they are sending me my PAC code. I've been with them over 2 years too. Not interesting in keeping me as a customer. I pay them £20 a month too.0
