    Thanks I realise if anyones like me I get so focussed on what we havent done rather than take the time to think about what I have already done and thats a lot more than I give credit for. Just hope it brightens other people up and helps them see how well theyve done.

    Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing the thread...:p

    Mine was paying for my honeymoon with savings and throughout that continuing to clear debts without increasing any.

    Oh and actually managing to keep track of all that. My excel spreadsheet has been well worked this year. :rotfl:
    Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

    Paid my loan & car off with £3000 cash and managed to save another £3000 this year towards moving

    Also paid the deposit for my wedding in cash!
    No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one! :mad:

    Mine was clearing off all my debt :D

    My biggest DFW achievement prior to this was having had Christmas totally sorted by November, all paid with cash. Just need to wrap it all now :rotfl:

    I'm the same - I was able to pay for my car in cash and in full :D

    my debts actually going down (I know I'm in for a long haul) and that I have budgeted for Christmas and will not be increasing my debts to fund it :D

    Me and OH are in it for Long haul too which is why I thought the thread would be good. Sometimes becasue we are still in debt I forget how far we've come.

    At least on here I can look back and go yes I did achieve something good :A

    I started a spending diary and managed to pay off my overdraft. 2011 has a program of saving lined up.
    If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.
