Blackberry/Orange

If you want to use any Blackberry service (messenger, push email ect) then any of their plans will do but you'll have to have the BB addon which is an extra £5 a month on top of the plan price.
There are other networks offering this free for a few months, but then you have to add the cost of unlocking the phone, so it might work out about the same in the long run.
(And if you're buying off Ebay, make sure the seller has lots of good feedback. There are lots of phone being sold that are then blacklisted when the owner reported them lost/stolen to get a new one!).0 -
I have looked and the seller does have very good feedback. How do you actually use the BB addon? And what is it exactly?0
-
Blackberry don't use the standard data plan for their own services.
Everything runs through their own server. To access this (and get all BB own services running) you have to have a Blackberry addon attached to your acc. All the BB services then run through this and give you unlimited everything on BB messenger, push email ect.
You can run a BB without this, but you then can't use any feature that is unique to Blackberry (unless someone can correct me on that ??)...0 -
Ohhhhh now I understand. But how do you actually add the £5 for BB addon onto the phone? Is there a special number you have to phone which comes with the sim or is it included in the regular top up?0
-
Just call pay as you go customer service. Tell them you want the Blackberry addon putting on your acc. They add it and then every month it takes £5 from your topup. Simple as that.0
-
WOW that is simple so once you top up you can access BlackBerry apps such as BBM, web, facebook, etc for free0

Ok thank you very much!!
You have been a great help!!!!! Which Orange Tariff would you recommend? 0 -
It might be worth getting it unlocked from orange.
Both Vodafone and T-Mobile have offers on free Blackberry Data at the moment.

Have a search for the T-Mobile one also, basically its free BBM and Services for 6 months if you register before 31 Jan, after that £5 a month0
