It's probably you that's charged up, rather than the car. So, it's you that needs one of those little tails. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Thanks.
One year not "years".
If we had insisted that he work for a year to fund the masters the fees for taught masters are linked to undergraduate fees. So next year the fees will be about 3.7k, wait a year and they will hit 10k.
Does one go on to "do" a Phd and that is the one where the would be "doctor" can finance his existence by teaching?Quite a scary afternoon here.....massive thunderstorm just as school pick up time arrived, on the way to the school, I am going along the road when there was an enormous thunder clap (enough to set car alarms off and make me and what felt like the car, jump) and several flashes, so close they felt like they were hitting the car......and then the house about 50 ft away burst into flames, the lightening had scored a direct hit on it.
That house has been destroyed, entire roof has gone, first floor completely burnt out and they had been battling hard to save the one next to it.
Then there was a lull for a little while (although thunder could still be heard) until another big storm, this time with even more torrential rain that the first, arrived as we were driving home from my parents house...so many flooded roads here.
One good thing, temp has decreased by 2 degrees in my bedroom.
I wonder if the same storm worked up the East coast?
There is a God as 4 of us went for a 5 mile walk through the cool woods and huge drops started falling when we were 50 yards from the back door.
We were entertaining some relatives from "Down Under" and I had to confess that the UK only had feeble little thunderstorms - but I really ought to go to turn off and unplug the computer,.......................perhaps a good thing I had not got round to it...............blue flash and instant thunder - lights went off - then bounced back on automatically. All of us were wondering who would crack first and hide under the dining table.
As I write the red power light and the green surge protected light have both "blown". Perhaps these three-times-the-price extension panels are actually worth the money.
Will I get round to it and replace the panel before the next storm?0 -
