I'm guessing you went with the Cream Tea:
Warm fruit scones, strawberry preserve, lemon curd and Cornish clotted cream with your choice of tea or coffee. £16.

You can buy a tub (113 grams/4oz) of clotted cream delivered from http://www.roddas.co.uk for £3.41.

Edit: Read on to next page and see I was correct - did you visit the 'beach'? I guess there are no footballers there at this time of year tho...

We went to do a work colleague of other half a favour. Meant to be retrieving a phone he had left in hotel near us. We got there to find they had posted it back to him and he hadn't told us.

So we had a stroll round the lovely gardens and afternoon tea and scones for 2. £32!
    I think....

We had Chinese. It cost a fortune. Very non-MSE. But we enjoyed it. So there.

Edit: but we still got it for less than £32. Worra rip off!

We very seriously considered take out.

But decided we were too tired to go get some. We do, and this is a source of great excitement to us - especially DH, despite him having food delivered more often than not at work - live close enough to have take out delivered from a couple of places but then it adds £5 or something so seems poor value. :) We live near enough some decent restaurants too :) There are bonuses to living in a less isolated place.

After a miserbaly week of weather, and a very disheartening yesterday especially summer returned at about 6pm. Its been the most beautiful evening, and we got a huge pile of logs moved. :)

My wife had her exam results, this week, which means I am no longer married to an undergraduate. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Well done Mrs GDB. I hope she's pleased with what she got. What does she plan to do next?

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Hey fc123, when your feet touch the ground. Look into the possibilities of QR Codes for enhancing sales/customer retention. They're genius. I wrote an article on them this week (never heard of them before).

See QR Codes and think: tell a friend links, online store links, fashion show clips ... and open your mind to what they could do for you in a small space with fast moving clientele. I'm thinking "swipe/order later" potential for people who spot your stuff but are in a hurry.

So, it's 6:14am on a Sunday morning.... and I noticed half an hour ago that my website had an error. It's not connecting to the database, so I tried to load the main site and got a database error. So here I am, 6.15, dealing with online support as when I logged into cPanel to get to the database it said it was offline.

Oh the joys. At least I notice though - and at least my host has one of those "online support" liveperson icons you can chat to, don't have to phone them, which would be a right royal pain in the butt.

This particular website is what I've been working on for a few weeks now.

    Main hub site
/directory of stuff I've been populating and which is used across a couple of other domains
    /self-populating directory containing Wordpress
    /blog I've been blogging for 3 years

I hate it when stuff goes wrong ... but this isn't my biggest domain, just my second biggest.

"The other place" is down too, same hosting account

And 3 of my other domains

So really, nearly everything I own that I've been working on is down.
