Can you sue somebody for having an affair? How does that work then .... never heard of it before.

That'd keep lawyers in business forever - job creation'd go through the roof!!

Alienation of affection in some US states, I believe.

I'd go for the "kick his !!!! down the street" approach instead.

Snap - they are one of my most hated things in life - what is the point of internet banking if you can't actually bank anywhere unless you happen to be carrying around a lump of plastic?

with lloyds, you don't need anything of the sort. Just your login / passwod / memorable information. that's 15 or so digits long, and they ask you for digits 3. 7. 11 (or whatever)

We completed on our new place on Friday! Yay! It's all ours!

There are 3 small bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room and a teeny-weeny utility room downstairs, and one huge room upstairs - 37 x 25 ft, but L-shaped, so a total of about 750 sq feet for the kitchen / living room.

Really, really high ceilings (11 ft 3 downstairs, 12 ft upstairs) so while it's empty, there's a hell of an echo.

OH was foolish enough to tell isaac about the hot air gun which removes paint from the upstairs wall. So far, I've just stopped a painted model and a mil bottle from being incinerated by the fan heater <sigh>

Oh, and I have my engagement / wedding rings and photos, which is rather nice!

    Indeed, congratulations NDG. :j:j:j

I hope you have a lot of fun with your building work - always remember that it's meant to be exciting rather than stressful. And I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes, if you can spare a minute to keep us posted.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Congratulations NDG...on engagement and house :)

Today is NOT a washing day. Grey and damp feeling, though dry so far. DH didn't sleep at all last night and got on the train looking decidedly worse for wear. I went for the vacuuming fwiw.

Thanks! Tomorrow, scaffolding is going up to re-plaster the upstairs ceiling, quite a job. Fortunately, not one I'm doing!

    Congratulations!

House photos please, before and after.

Lovely news on the engagement (is that news?, don't seem to remember it being mentioned).

I get that the wedding ring has to curve around the engagement ring, but why the third ring?
