Just dropping by to say 'tis pouring down nicely in Mid Devon too.:)

We may even own a stream again by the morning, instead of a wadi.

Edit: Knotting legs isn't a good idea if either of you gets cramp and needs to leap out in a hurry!

Wellying down in central London now, too. Which might stop my Dad whinging about his ponds / veggies / hay. If it makes it further east into Kent, that is.

Still no rain here but if it has reached London, then there is hope for us yet..

On second thoughts, just checked the radar again and although it is hitting London and Essex hard, it is clear above us.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

We've just ordered our tiles for our bathroom and shower room in the new flat. They are utterly gorgeous.

We're going to have the turquoise colour, with one set of 12 tiles and one of 9 in the bathroom, and one of 9 in the shower room.

Single-handedly responsible for a large increase in insurance premiums, those sorts of companies.

Singlehandedly responsible for a brand new bumper, a hire car like the one I own, not a plastic bin. I've paid into that bank for 10 years. Time to withdraw some of it ;)

I've got friends that have had to have cars sent
Back after 'repairs' and I'm glad I didn't. It wasn't my fault and I'm glad it was done to dealer standard and that I didn't have to fork out my excess and fight to get it back for
Being rear-ended by a moron. No more than any innocent party deserves!

The trouble with those companies is that they bump up the price big time.

I've no doubt they do, but if my car wants fixing, it goes to BMW. I would pay for that. If someone else has to pay to fix my car, it goes to BMW and they pay for it. I will always pay more into car insurance than I pull out. Uninsured drivers have more to answer for than I do, as does the guy that may have been fronting for his smash-happy future mother-in-law.

"Utterly gorgeous" indeed. Any chance we could have some pics of the finished bathroom when it's done?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

That isn't the problem - the paying for the BMW mending. It's the extra charges that such companies get, via dodgy credit agreemnts. There's nothing dodgy about you, please don't think I'm suggesting that for a moment.

Sure, won't be for a bit, though! There is a lot of that pottery's stuff all over the place in Jerusalem, and it's lovely.
