Been a full on day today for me....up early to cover the the final round of the Aussie Champs, very popular, lots of new members but a meeting that took an age to run as the track was pretty bad in the initial stages.

Then after that, it was a rush to get lunch done, and eaten and then take middle son to a birthday party. My sofa that I was expecting today from my brother was put off until tomorrow...some little toe rag threw paint stripper over his car, the same car which is his employment (taxi driver).

So I took the opportunity to go and see an old school friend with youngest son (oops, forgot, we went shopping at the supermarket first!) and stayed there for a few hours. After this, and because youngest has been badgering for the last week or so, I then took him to a local pool club....blimey, think I will go there more often, for the grand total of £2, we were entertained for over an hour!

I won 3 times, youngest won once.....he has declared me better than his father at playing pool, I put it down to my misspent youth at the local pier where we would hang around the pool tables as that was where the juke box was and played the occasional game, not really played since and that was a good 25 years ago (hmm, maybe a little longer than that - I stopped 25 years ago!)

Quick stop back at home before going to pick middle son up and then back home to cook tea.

I now feel like death warmed up, youngest appears to have given me whatever he had the little begger. He though, now seems over the worse, his peak flows are moving away from the danger zone although he is still hovering around the line the nurse said he must not go under (which he has been under since Tuesday, quite often by more than 60 points) but he is much improved in himself...he doesn't look quite so pale, eyes quite so hollowed and he has got his wind up mode in gear again.

All going well, he is back at school on Monday....but then eldest is off school for the morning as he needs to go to the doctors, firstly because his hip came out during the week and he struggled to get it back in (stupid begger didn't go to the school office for them to get me, no, he struggled round to the local shop in the break time to get paracetamol to make it easier for him to stand the pain to knock it back properly!) and secondly, because his dizziness/fainting and lack of energy is becoming more troublesome (we need to ask about something called POTS - apparently common in those with EDS).

Right, off to my bed I go.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Michaels, that huge extension you are planning: are you still going ahead? Also, when people do huge jobs like this, do they move out for the duration?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

LydiaJ, congratulations! I'm behind posting, but that put a smile on my face. I hope the meeting went well yesterday with your builder.

michaels, hope your mouth is feeling better this morning. Yuck :D

SS, I'm glad youngest is picking up a bit.

DH & DS are off to rugby in a bit. I'm happy just to do nothing for a bit, DD will be as well.

That tax return's nearly ready to press SEND on. Just sat and gone through all 90 lines of Paypal, in 3 currencies.... that gets your head in a spin :)

I hate the final commitment of pressing that final button, so like to sleep on it in case some big, glaring mistake hits me at 3-4am at the 11th hour.

I've had that problem with mine. Every time I click on one of those question marks in circles to find out whether it is the box I should fill out it crashes rather than doing what it should do and opening in a separate window. So I've written notes on all the pages saying I'm assuming that I've put the figures in the right box because the link keeps crashing and I don't know for certain. Very frustrating.

Hope Michael, lir and Sue are feeling a bit better today. I picked up DH yesterday from St Albans as he took the train from Gatwick so he's now home. Unfortunately my ladder accident meant I didn't get to do the bedroom while he was away, only the lounge ceiling and the downstairs cloakroom. He's glad to be home though, but he's had to go straight back to work today.

On a different subject, the fluorescent tube in my kitchen has gone and I need to replace. Does anyone know how you work out what model you need? I bought one which was the right length, but is the wrong size (the tube that needs replacing is fatter). The sooner I get rid of this horrible light fitting the better, but for the moment it stays as there are things to do on the list that are higher priorities.

Take the old one down the local B&Q/similar ... and ask the little man. The little man always knows.

Today it's gloriously sunny. If I had my own place, with a conservatory, today's definitely a conservatory day. 1degree outside, gorgeously sunny/warm inside. Or, I'd be out searching for raw/natural materials at the secret locations I've started to list, then I'd return home and put those in to soak/wash in my lovely utility room with its large sink ... before going into the conservatory with a big coffee :)
