Does it tweet?
Don't like it, sorry. Also think you would need a big room. Don't think I would use a loo with that light, unless I was desperate.
Of all the leitmotiv lights, the best is the pendant on white.
Personal taste differs!
Its not huge when you see it in the flesh. (I had first imagined in in a hall) The smallest birds are much smeller than I had imagined. I'd like three in a kitchen...but think it would be a beggar to clean in a kitchen.
Silvercar...you'll HATE our decor when we've finished here.0 -
On lights, we changed a leaking flat roof on a room with a too low ceiling to a sloping roof. To give some decent height to the room inside we kept the inside of the roof rather than create a flat ceiling. Lighting was a problem, but we went for this in the end. It hangs down about 6 foot and the angles of the poles can be changed from vertical to horizontal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. We have this one:
Open box from our local Homebase store for a fiver...
I'm so jealous, I'm going to come round and half inch it while you're at work. Five quid. I really like that one too. I love that one in your eaves.
I left some gorgeous Artimede-style pendants in my old house. Until I get straight here all I've got is linen coolies:(.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Lampshades are something else I never got round to in my house. Never got round to: lampshades, curtains, carpets, most furniture. Couldn't afford it as after I bought the darned place I had a big change of circumstances, so just sat alone in it for years, with the lights out, while the value went up and up and up ... and then they said interest rates were going up (again) and I felt a crash was coming and I'd be "trapped with it for at least 8 years as nobody'd buy it" ... so I sold.
I do miss having a house, a home, somewhere that's "mine", with my stuff. But I don't hanker after anywhere I've lived before.0 -

Sounds like a fun day! I have been in bed with flu this week and my balance went, which is why I've been online so much, all I could do is lay in bed with my laptop. Couldn't stand up, couldn't do anything, pathetic.
Today DH has flown to America. Last night we had a romantic night booked at a hotel so I could see him off. Instead I got to drive him to St Albans station because I couldn't even manage the drive to Gatwick, let alone staying. So today I've been watching planefinder.net for about 8 hours to watch for him landing. Then I'll not go to bed for another 2 hours until he gets to where he's staying and phones me to say he's ok. That's after 20 years together. I'm sad:o.
BTW, did you actually buy anything, what did you see that you liked the best? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
