No, can't ride ATM...only tried twice since moving, would be alright if I could get up there, but need left leg to do that:o Its a terrible thing, mounting a horse, you are taught to do it always from the left...whch is bad for the horses back and for the rider. I make sure DH mounts from alternate sides, and anyone else I taught. When I used to have young horses I was training I mounted from both sides too, but now the only muscle memory I have is to mount from the left....
When building works start were going to build me a disabled style mounting bay...where instead of just having a little block I can walk a horse in and instead of trying to get up as well as over, I just have to get over from the right level. The twice I did that from the Landrover bonnet, but felt very wobbly and insecure and that was unsettling.
Lol I am not surprised...I would feel wobbly on a LR bonnet and my legs are fine. Get the builders to make the mounting bay 1st..in time for the spring.lostinrates wrote: »earlier...jeans, yard boots, grey jumper, mauve yard coat. Now those colours together sound very next season
About originality and no more original music etc...I disagree as humans are always developing new shapes, sounds, ways of doing things over the long term. I don't think we'll all morph into one big mass of same-iness.
I feel for the parents thingy PN. Are they very mobile? Could you drag them to a bowls club or similar or is that a daft idea on my part?
Any more joy on finding a hol let nearby for the winter? Whatever you invest in yourself (space, desk, PC) is money well spent and will yield far more for you long term than it sitting in the bank doing nothing.
We have different issues with MIL as she is incredibly, emotionally needy and has zero life/interests/hobbies beyond watching her endless soaps (on max volume as she has hearing problems), smoking endless fags (she now has early emphesymia)and argueing with the second husband (looks like it's all going to come to an end this year but she doesn't want to live on her own) and shopping in pound shops buying useless stuff that no-one needs.
She is also terrible with money and is now potless....too long a story to tell here.
Anyway..I said I would log in except I got here a bit late....and hi to LJ too*wave* I have a great book to recommend...will post up tomo.

I don't have matching underwear....white bras, black knickers most days but then who on earth is going to see them.
I always make sure they look nice though, my nan drummed it into me about wearing clean, non holed underwear in case of being run over by a bus and having to have an xray. It happened to her one day and it caused great mirth at the hospital as she was wearing these gorgeous and frilly french knickers from Ann Summers...not something they saw very often in old ladies of 90.
Anyway, this morning I am shattered...youngest is going through a bad patch with his asthma (blooming sister and passing on her cold) and at one point in the night, it looked like it was going to an ambulance call as his peak flows went dangerously low (I have been told not to bother with calling out a doctor or messing about taking him to the local hospital but just to call 999 and get him up to Ipswich hospital asap when he is bad). Thankfully, the peak flow did come up a bit out of the danger zone but I think it will still be a visit today to the PAU at some point unless the PF really rallies. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Your nan sounds quite the girl! My nan drummed into me that I should always check that my knicker elastic hasn't frayed or given, after hers fell down while using a zebra crossing. Apparently under such circumstances a lady should carry on walking, kick the offending item out of the way, or discreetly pick up if nobody had seen and act as though nothing had happened. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Unfortunately now that the BBC management are responsible for paying for and running the World Service, the "housekeeping" seems to be done more often so the old programmes are no longer hidden somewhere on a chaotic web site .
There is a brief reference in the pick of the year programme:

Just scanning through but I thought most people think by association. I have random series of things that attach to each other, which is why sometimes I have quite random conversations or I say something really random in the middle of a conversation. It takes a lot for me to stay "on track".
I like pictures which is why I take a lot of notes, I remember the context of taking of notes (I hardly ever look back at them) and remember what I need to remember from taking the notes.
I'm normal apparently. :rotfl:0
