Can someone help? Need to find a little cat a home

It's a bit unfair for some of you to tell him to move ... don't make people feel guilty if they choose their home over their pet.
No one is 'telling' the OP anything, only giving opinions and making suggestions regarding the situation. These comments (well mine anyway!) have been made with the intent to help, not make the OP feel guilty.
...because it does seem very strange that this landlord is only NOW saying the cat must go, IF it has been in the property, and known about, for some time..."Your life is what your thoughts make it"
"If you can't bite, don't show your teeth!"

That's awful

If I lived near you I would gladly help, even if it was on a foster scheme!
I hope you manage to sort this soon xxThe more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
Maybe he got her from a rescue at an older age I don't know but comments like "i'd move to keep my pets" is not always possible. I've had to rehome one of my Bengal cats because neighbours complained of the noise they were making to my Landlord i've had them ages.0

If people can make pet owners consider all options in these desperate times with rescues bursting at the seams.. i don't see a problem with that. Ultimately its the owners choice what she does. Try catchat as previously suggested very helpful on there. Might be someone looking for a cat like this one?0

What did you have paper thin walls? Yes Bengals can be loud but shutting windows and doors will stop the noise from travelling to the neighbours. And neighbours complaining to your landlord I'd tell them where to stick it it's just a cat. Get more toys keep 'em occupied.Maybe he got her from a rescue at an older age I don't know but comments like "i'd move to keep my pets" is not always possible. Just because the cat is two years old, doesnt mean the OP has hed it for 2 years! Maybe they just bought it thinking it would be ok, say a month ago and the landlord has noticed straight away.Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150

OP has dissapeared from this thread so we can only assume... and there is no point assuming....0

Yes, Op has not re-appeared so we do not know what is going on.
As a landlord myself...I would have suggested writing or speaking to the landlord directly. Good tenants cannot be taken for granted, and if you have been in the property for a while with a good track record of payments etc, also with plans to stay long term...then I think a landlord would be very foolish to risk losing a tenant on these grounds.
It is also PRETTY hard to evict a tenant...they may issue a notice but there is no guarantee that a tenant will oblige! I am not suggesting you call that bluff, but explaining how the land lord should be thinking.0 -
I haven't disappeared....I've been trying ot sort out things.
We have asked the LL and offered double deposit, but nothing has been said yet. We rehomed her at a later age, and no, I can't afford to go out and get a new place to live (that and it's hard to find places in my price bracket that are near my healthcare professionals). I am however, waiting for the LL to get back to me and say if it's a yes or no...we have a reprieve until the beginning of January but I'm hoping we can keep her longer. I don't want ot get rid of her, she is my little lifeline and I love her to pieces. I've been asking people I know at uni, have asked on Gumtree but I don't want to lose my little Pepper.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

The last thing i would do is advertise her on gumtree!
Is she spayed? If not, May i suggest that you get her done a.s.a.p.
Most people will pay to get a animal they can breed from, Gumtree being the used place for this.
I would start looking for a list of NON kill rescue's....!Future goals:

Beat Depression.
