Can someone help? Need to find a little cat a home

Been told by my landlord I need to get rid of my cat, otherwise I'll lose my home. Was wondering if anyone could help me find a place who'd take her. She's a 2 year old house cat called Pepper.

You could try contacting your local branch of Cats Protection for advice
http://www.cats.org.uk/find-us0 -
You can find a list of your local rescues here http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html
Also there are lots of lovely peeps on the forum who may be able to help http://www.catchat.org/forum.html or the sister site http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. How terrible .. I couldnt give my cat away.. id have to move. Is that not an option?
Could you ask your landlord to give you a month to find somewhere else ... if they realize you are moving they maybe a little more lenient ??
As the others said... cats protection etc at least it will get a nice home.Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

That's a bit harsh, making you get rid of the cat you've had for two years! Have you lived there the whole time, or did you not tell him about her?
Could you offer to cover the cost of damages that your cat causes, or is he being a total sh*t and not budging on this issue. I think I'd be looking to move house instead of having to give up my cat. He's a landlord, but there is only so much of your life he can have influence on. I understand that rescue homes are full to bursting - what are you are going to do if you can't find a place for your cat within the landlord's required timeframe?0 -
If you can, try and talk to your landlord about this. The Office of Fair trading consider "no pets" to be an unfair term in a rental agreement, so the law's on your side with this one. Perhaps if you offer a bit more money for your damage deposit, and agree to have the flat professionally cleaned when you move out, and explain how much your cat means to you, he might reconsider?2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -

I completely agree with this post. How mean of your Landlord, if you've had Pepper for two years, to 'tell' you to get rid
If it were me I would not even consider doing it. I'd move first.
Can you not talk to him and ask if you can reach a compromise? Money usually talks with people like this..."Your life is what your thoughts make it"
"If you can't bite, don't show your teeth!"

It's a bit unfair for some of you to tell him to move especially when it's going to be much harder to find cheap rental apartments with the new housing benefits coming along. If I were told to rehome one or more of my pets or lose my home then i'd have to because people come first and if you are left homeless then your pet wouldn't have shelter anyway. It doesn't mean you love your pets any less but don't make people feel guilty if they choose their home over their pet.0

I have a strange feeling about this particular thread /post as it is straight to "need to rehome" rather than "is there anything I can do to keep the cat" - becomiong cynical in my old age ....but..
As above, people already suggested and it is in practice as my friend had to pay DOUBLE deposit for the flat she rents as she has a sog - is this not an option?
If you had a cat for 2 years - is it only NOW that the landlord makes demands for you to get rid of her? Why?0
