Lik-Sang Gone Out of Business)

I have bought some sony product, but these kind of antics really put me off.
Microsoft on the other hand still does give a crap despite those who may slate it. The quality of their hardware is also higher.0 -

does anyone know the best place to get u.s. ds games on import cheap, now this has gone?
I have ordered from play-asia.com and yesasia.com a few times, in fact to anyone who has an xbox 360, some of the games on play-asia are multi-region and £24 each, it tells you on the site which games are region free.
They both sell U.S ds games if thats of any help.0 -
it's not all over yet. They can always appeal to the ECJ claiming anti competition. It's nay mind they are asian they have a tonne of subsidiaries in the EU they can pursuit.
Only question is will the Commission want to !!!! sony off???
Note to sony: did you not think if you give the consmer what they want you wouldn't have these problems0 -
Bloody Sony!
It's such a shame cos now people who didn't buy their rubbish are not able to buy good stuff from Lik-Sang! We bought our DS and DS Lite from Lik-Sang and it's really sad to see them go.
I know the PS3 will be a big seller, but we'll be buying a Wii. My OT was considering buying a PSP - not anymore!I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0 -
It's absolutely disgusting, how can buying something then selling it again be illegal. Big corporations seem to have far too much (il)legal power these days.0

No, but you will be stopped by customs if you do not pay both import duty and VAT on the purchase.
These have been to the EU courts in the past (case of Levis -v- Tesco PLC) where stores were buying their stock from other countries to be sold here in the UK. The courts previous ruled that inside of europe a manufacturer/ distributor has no right to stop a company buying its stock from another EU country due to EU law on free movement of goods etc however they are entitled to prevent international sales involving countries outside of the EU.
At the end of the day however, if Sony stops one company from doing it another one will quickly establish itself to make a quick buck before the likes of Sony can get an injunction to stop them. Certainly bad luck for the company but it is unlikely to have a significant impact on the end consumer. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

How could anyone remotely conisder buying a useless overpriced piece of !!!! like the PS3?
It's brainwashed consumerism at it's best! Sony will probably get 50 Cent or Snoop Dogg and others to drop Playstation/PS3 in to their lyrics in the hope to sell consoles.
But then the people that listen to that pile of !!!! (not all hip-hop is rubbish by the way, i like some of it!) are the kind of sheep consumers Sony prey on.
Me? I'll be buying a Nintendo Wii, like pretty much everyone else. Not because i'm a sheep consumer, but because it's the best console, is the most innovative and i'll be getting it before you lot because on Saturday i'm moving to live in Canada! LOL

Big shame about Lik-Sang.
These big corporations are just getting too big for themselves. I could buy an XBOX360 game from Lik-Sang for £21 including postage. The same game in tesco's here is £49.99 - a £30 mark-up.
That's the reasons Sony want to shut these folks down. As the market in Asia is more competitive, they have to sell their products cheaper, be it PSP, Nintendo whatever. Over here, they can charge us twice as much so the idea of UK folks buying cheap, legitimate produdct offends the big boys.
They should look at the music industry. They've done the same thing too, charging £15 for a CD, CDWow sold theirs for £8. CDWow gets threatened and now everyone just downloads from ITunes, AllofMP3 or illegally. So the consumer gets what they want in the end.
I'll import from Play-Asia or the next one that comes along. I refuse to pay £50 for a game or £15 for a CD. On principal that it's cheaper everywhere else in the world.
They'll never learn......Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0
