Wedding video dvd cover design

Options
Hi guys,

Need some help. Our videographer did a great job but unfortunately the finished product is not presentable at all. What we have are the edited discs posted on plain Kodak dvds separated by bits of toilet tissue. For our archive we actually need a professionally finished and personalised dvd. Can anybody recommend someone who could do this for us? I am not asking for a way to get the original videographer to do it as I think he cannot do it. I would rather get someone else to do it as he has been a pain in so many ways lately.

I can :-) I'm a photographer and my work is always presented in a personalised case, so I could sort this for you. I can also design to go on the CDs as well. My prices are very reasonable though just account for the editing work so a bit would be added on for the cost of printing etc. The only thing would be is if you have permission to use the video stills on the cover, if this is what you would like. You may need to sought permission from the videographer first for this, if this is something you don't already have.

I'm surprised you got presented with your wedding video like this! :( Glad the actual video was great though.

  • this is something i did discuss with my videographer- as i believe it should be part of the package- and for us it is. toilet roll?! not a good look at all!!

you made me giggle with the 'For our archive ' do you mean your keepsake box?- archive sounds a bit like a library term or something lol

not sure what to suggest- other than printing a photo off?- photoshop or something like that

i know! i was so silly not to get a contract as I met him on here and trusted him too much. ah well. i dont want to have to do it as it wont look good at all lol. I have seen the media service of Loughborough Uni do this for £4 per dvd so i am well chuffed.

as i said the actual work he did was brill, including the trailer. but overall, due to the poor finish and poor communication/service, I did not get value for money. for what i got (or not) he charged me a lot.

Ah I've seen rouge weddings videos and i thought they were fab.

Have you mentioned to the videographer that you arent happy with the presentation of your dvd?
I dont think it's very fair to slate someone on the internet and perhaps affect their livelihood without giving them a chance to put it right!

Leaves a very sour taste in my mouth!!

brownbabygirl you could go the MSE route , and DIY .

I would use Cd label print and Surething Labeller

Ask around and find someone with a suitable printer ( Canon 4500??)

    Job done.
