I sat down last night to work out how much I've saved thanks to Martin and the MSErs on this site and it was a bit of an OMG moment.I joined at the beginning of August,I was lucky I didn't have any debts I just never seemed to have any money left for the nice things in life.As a full time carer there's probably a lot of people who'll be in the same boat as me.Well I threw myself into moneysaving like a woman possessed and reorganised my whole life.It was great fun! So 2 months down the line and here's my SOA.
500 airmiles from the airmiles credit card
All the free DVD trials
Joined 3 cashback sites due around £300 by the end of the year
Got the tesco clubcard plus and the points are piling on
Tesco ISA 1000 points
Egg money card for 1% cashback
Egg money manager £10
Motorola phone free and 12 months free line rental
switched phone company saving £264 a year
A& L current account incentives £390
Benefits enquiry Housing benefit saving £962 a year and council tax saving £800 a year
Home insurance saving £48.84 a year
Due to the cashback sites, various bingo winnings.I reckon that it all comes to around £3000 over a year so I cracked open a bottle of £1.74 Tesco sem/chard, courtesy of an eagle eyed MSEr and toasted Martin, Slainthe
