no you won't be able to get it cheeper, but the top ups are just plain vouchers like you would buy if you were not buying a phone so you can always flog them to a mate for something like £7-8 and make some of your money back.

No they are not, it's added to the sim so are not easily sold.

No way round it, the cost inc top up is cheaper than sim free, so just take it as cost of the phone. Donate to charity or use for 0870 etc calls.

    Wrong!!!

The credit is applied automatically to the pay go sim, i would not recommend selling the sim with the £10 credit because i think they register the sim in your name at time of purchase.

Sell it on and they abuse it or make duff 999 calls it will be to your address they come too!
  • Just view the price of the phones as being a tenner more each....and weigh up if they are still the best deal for you. When I bought a handset this way, I didn't mention any other numbers and just said I'd like a PAYG card, which they supplied me brand new and sealed. The credit was registered to the actual sim card, new in packet. I gave mine to a family member who needed it and it worked perfectly well in their handset. You are entitled to give it away if you like or sell it on - just note who it was given / sold to. Just because you bought a phone with a PAYG card doesn't make you guilty of any dodgy behaviour that someone else may get up to using the PAYG card!!!

The easiest way is just to think of the handset costing a tenner more than the price and the card then becomes a bonus if it is used.

 they must have changed it, or I was extremely lucky, cause I got one with a voucher (albeit a fair while ago), although it didnt make any difference as I used to voucher myself.

Sim Card with phone CPW used in a totally different phone no problem . But individual operators may vary and CPW may set the phone up and register sim to new phone at handover . jje

No way round it, I've tried!! :(

I bought the samsung tocco lite (new red edition) for £44.95 but I didn't need or want the top-up sim. (although I still had to buy it!)They wouldn't negotiate on price at all.

Still a good price for the phone though and I've kept the sim as a spare.
