hi all..
I bought a couple of the Nokia 1112 from tesco beginning of the year, which are still in their boxes, I oppened them yesterday only to find that neither of accept simcards, I take it, they might need to be activated... Can anyone advise me how do I go about doing this??
Thank you in advance

I'm not sure what 'neither of accept sim cards' means.
Can you clarify?
Ideally you would tell us, which network they are on. Which SIM you put into them and the message the phone displays.
I'm going to guess you've put in the SIMs that were supplied and received the message 'inactive SIM'. In which case there are three possibilities (other than a fault).
1) The handsets have been reported lost or stolen - I think this unlikely.
2) If its Orange, you need to phone and register before the SIM is activated.
3) The SIMs may have expired (there is an 'Activate by' date on the SIM carrier)0 -
awwwwwwwww Im sorry...
They came with Tesco simcards but I didnt activate them.
Now when I put the Tesco simcard is, it looks as if there's no signal whatsoever.
When I put an orange simcard is the phones it states... sim card not valid.0 -
Most sim cards need to be activated. You may need to call Tesco CS (from another phone) and give them the sim card numbers to have them set live on the network. Or they may have expired after this amount of time. Most sims are disconnected after 6 months of none use...
By the sound of it they're locked to Tesco which is why you're getting the 'sim card not valid' message when you put the Orange sim in them.0 -
Instructions give you a number to phone to activate the sim card . jje0

Yup, Tesco is the way to go.
As I said, you might need to get new Tesco sims as, if they have been disconnected, they can't reverse that.
I 'think' Tesco change something like £10 to £15 to unlock a handset, but CS can give you that info. . .0 -
Thank you ever so much xxxhugsxxx0
