ripped packaging am i justified to be disappointed

It refers because if prices hadn't gone up, people wouldn't be so justified in complaining! I get that the RM has had cuts (an RM issue to deal with, NOT the customers fault!) and people are posting more (this should be a good thing surely!!) but that is no excuse for a company which has increased it's costs year on year on year to not be able to handle the known and surely expected increase in traffic during the festive period!!how does that relate to my points?
It wasn't a personal slight, just a little tongue in cheek comment.
OP, i'd be annoyed with the seller by the way. They should have packed stuff better but to be honest an email to let them know you were disappointed might be best in first instance.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!
Closet debt free wannabe -[STRIKE] Last personal loan payment - July 2010[/STRIKE]:T, credit card balance about £3000 (and dropping FAST), [STRIKE]Last car payment September 2010 (August 2010 aparently!!)[/STRIKE]

the problem with mentioning RMs prices is you need to key in that they were(and still are) artificially low because the business mail side of the business supported the retail side
its a company that was under invested during the time it had a monopoly
look back and see the levels of profits RM made back then
then it was pushed into a competitive market before it was ever going to be ready(or was required to)
saying i know RM has had cuts doesnt really cover the multiple issues.
the whole set up of regulation and down stream access is throttling the company
you may say they have increased their costs but what about the regulator set prices for DSA mail?0 -
Thank you for the explanation but Custardy...none of that is the customers fault or problem. If the business isn't viable, for whatever reason, the company needs to make itself viable...not just keep "underperforming" and still putting prices up. I'm not going to argue the whys and wherfores with you to be honest. I don't need to "cover the multiple issues", i'm the customer...Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

the company is under regulation and daily legal requirements
you cant levy private enterprise rational at a company that isnt free to trade
look at your mail you get and see how many letters are delivered by RM but are actually from a rival company.the prices they are charged by RM are set by the regulator. RM is not allowed ot undercut them for the business contracts.
so you see the juxtaposition of a regulated company with legal obligations being asked to perform as a private business
the 'customer' is also the shareholder given its a PLC under the government.
so anyone who voted tory also voted for the privitisation of RM
where do youthink the service goes from there?0
