I'm a Wilkinsons convert, the nearest wilkinsons is about 30 mins drive away, the place also has a nice swimming pool so we combine the two.

They are about 1.50 - 1.99 each and they work a treat. The OP for £21 Bosch could have bought 4 complete sets of Wilkies, and the 4 sets of Wilkies would definately out last the Bosch IMO. Just a little inspection whenever you feel like it or when you wash them at car washing time will tell you in what condition they are in.

As I recall Wilkies didn't sell short wipers for the rear screen so I bought an extra long one removed the rubber, cut it to size, and fitted it into my old Bosch frame.......(you use the old Bosch spring steel liners too)......job done! Don't cut the wrong end! One end has a stop on it which locks into the frame.

I've got a Mondeo and gave up on cheapie blades a long time back - they go hard after a while then instead of flipping over at the end of each wipe just 'scroop' their way back across the screen - drives you crackers after 50 miles or so. I get Bosch, but looks like I've maybe been paying over the odds, think I spent around the £22 the pair last time round at Halfords.

The other thing I've done for many years is put a few drops of washing up liquid in the wash bottle, keeps the screen nice and clean ... takes a little while after first starting to use it.

go to Wilkinsons. About 3 quid.

Agreed!!! Bought mine (£2.49) for my Focus. Have been on there about a year and are perfect. Clean the screen better than any I've had before. :)

Just seen in Makro they have two replacement blades in a blister pack for 4.50 +VAT

Look good quality with the five spoke cross section.

    Still cheaper in Wilkinsons

I got a set of chrome wipers on E-Bay. Fittings are cheap and nasty, and they rust easily and need polishing often, but the real point is, they are by far the best wipers I have ever had. I've bought cheap, I've bought Bosch, in UK and Germany, all sorts, and have had my Mondeo for about 9 yrs, but these are brilliant. Bosch are crap, sorry, but they need renewing every year, if you're lucky. All others have been noisey, or inefficient, or both, but these cheapo things have proved that it is possible to have silent, beautifully efficient wipers on a Mondeo.
