Back again for another month
I was off work for the first two weeks on November so missed the beginning of that challenge - missed popping in for updates/motivation and to [STRIKE]pinch[/STRIKE] hear all of your ideas.
Tomato and bacon pearl barley risotto for me yesterday. Off work sick today (boo!) so had an omelette at home. Pop back with next week's 'plan' at the weekend.

The risotto you mentioned sounds yummo scrummo! Do you have a recipe you wouldn't mind sharing by any chance?
Yours hopefully

Hi All
I've been in my new job just over a month and brought food in from home (usually food bought by Mum too) every day so far, I'd like to continue this through December.
No work lunch invites so far, so I'm gonna say;
0 bought lunches. :j
Yesterday I had micro chips (really bad I know, but great comfort food) in a buttie. Did take some chicken in which I reheated but smelt awful so I binned it. Don't think it was off, it just didn't like being reheated.
Today I had half a tin of soup with a slice of bread to dunk, I have the same left for tomorrow.

Hi, Can I join in please?
I'm in the office for 21 days this month, though 3 will be half days, two of which I will probably eat lunch on before leaving, plus I have a work Christmas lunch (which I must pay for - not cheap
)
Therefore, I am going to aim for 18 days for the whole month. I've already managed it for these first three days (though is it cheating that I worked from home today due to train cancellations....?!)
Good luck all

No real recipe but I just fry some bacon and onion add a few handfuls of pearl barley and fry for a few mins... Slowly pour in some stock, ladle at a time until it's all absorbed and the barley is soft and then add some passata/tinned toms, salt and pepper. Enjoy!0 -

Thank you for that, La escocesa! Think I shall give this a go for our lunch right now. Don't have any bacon so shall use chorizo. Yuuuuuummmmmm!0 -

Hi all:wave:
This post is great!
I really need to take lunch to work - not only to save money, but I only get 30mins break and that includes getting changed & getting out, getting back & getting changed again!) PHEW!
We usually have a buffet for christmas, could make something to take - but I think I'll say that's 1 bought lunch for the month for me.
Now... must print out my weekly meal planner and get to it!0 -
Hello and welcome to the thread janie, I've added you to the list Good luck.
