Please put me down for 2 bought lunches0

Hello all! Thank you to MrGreen for starting the December thread.
Its vital for me to do well this month because of all the extra expense at this time of year. Last month was my first & I'm really pleased with how much money I managed to save by resisting shop bought lunches. I'm hoping that taking my own lunches will become second nature & shop ones will be a thing of the past. If I manage to keep this up the annual savings could pay for something pretty substantial.
Anyway, please may I join this month? I'd like to aim for 19 lunches from home please.0 -
Hello All,
I am new here...trying really hard to be more savvy, so far 4 lunches brought in from home this week! Aim to bring in my lunch everyday for the month-wish me luck!!!0 -
Hello again, I'm so pleased with how well i've been doing I checked my bank account the other day.....and I actually have a really decent positive balance in there (after all the bills have come out too). This is saving me a fortune!!!!
Please could you put me down for 1 lunch in December please. (I'm off work from the 22nd - we're closed). I'm allowing 1 lunch for an old work friend I meet up with, EVERY year on our last working day of the year and we go as soon as the last one is finished for the holidays. Usually straight for the earlybird special at a local all you can eat buffet and have a gossip and moan. We've managed to do it every year for 5 running now, and its such a lovely catch up she's worth the bought lunch. Plus i'm sure we sit nattering for so long we make our moneysworth on the "free refills" on the pop.
Jacket potato with dairylea for me today - all out of soup and couldn't fit tin of beans & potatoes in my bag :rotfl:0 -
Put me down for two bought lunches for December please. Only found this 'game' last month but it has really worked to focus the mind (and save money!)YNWA
Target: Mortgage free by 58.0 -
Hey all! Even though I missed my target by one day last month I still like to think how much money I saved with 17 homemade lunches.
I was off work yesterday and have bought in soup today, so that's two for me already. As there are effectively only 3 weeks before we go on Christmas shutdown I shall pledge "Only 3 bought lunches in December".
I hope you all have a successful month. xxx

Hi everyone,
I too only found this thread half way through Nov and was pleased that from finding it I didn't buy a lunch
Please could you put me down for 2 brought lunches? I've worked out that I'm at work for 21 days this month (weather depending!) and know that on Christmas Eve we always get a bacon buttie and then have a buffet put on - not sure about the buffet this year due to cut backs!
Had jacket potato, tuna and salad for yesterday and today HM carrot and lentil soup with the bonas of a free egg & mayo sandwich from the canteen (a left-over they can't sell the following day).0 -
Hi everyone
Back again for another month
I was off work for the first two weeks on November so missed the beginning of that challenge - missed popping in for updates/motivation and to [STRIKE]pinch[/STRIKE] hear all of your ideas.
Tomato and bacon pearl barley risotto for me yesterday. Off work sick today (boo!) so had an omelette at home. Pop back with next week's 'plan' at the weekend.
