I think this is correct place to post this if not please advise.
I have had my DD with Barclaycard fail two months running. It's nothing to do with insufficient funds in my account and actually my bank (Halifax) tells me that not only were there enough funds but, there was no DD Mandate issued by Barclaycard for the last two months!
I hadn't even thought about CRAs until reading this thread but now for the first time ever I am classed as late with two payments even though the DD is correct on both sides and there were funds present.
Barclaycard are saying the DD was returned but Halifax say it was never requested! They say they have no recorded anywhere of it being refused.
Barclaycard are now refusing to accept responsibility and all I get are people in a Call Center reading off a script and refusing to check the DD.
I am being charged intersest for a late payment even though I did nothing wrong and Barclaycard refuse to acknowledge it.
Any suggestions?
