Spudsey just a quick thought on rabbits veg! I would cut up a load of veg when you have time, sort it into portions and freeze in little bags. When you are working you will only have to remember to take it out the night before. I doubt if the rabbit will complain its not freshly cut up!

Thanks for that Elaine though it won't work for the veg they have, they normally have dark greens and spinach (normally from the allotment) that would go mushy and inedible when frozen. Thank you anyway!

I totally rely on lists :)

    I have and use daily

A large £1.49 book of "to do lists" from Wilkos for planning projects/christmas/holidays

    A page-a-day diary

A small hard backed notebook listing out
    - room by room - dimensions for carpeting/wallpaper, colour scheme, curtain sizes and a list of stuff that I'm hoping to pick up (cushions, furniture, rugs, appliances)
    - each family member - clothes/shoe sizes and a list of clothing/accessories that are needed
    - a list of food store cupboard items that I use frequently (home baking, tinned tuna, honey etc) with the price I normally pay for it so its possible to check out if the "amazing bargain" at Sainsberys is actually cheaper than the bog standard price at Aldi
    - a list of birthday/christmas presents that I need to buy

:) ...and i never shop without a shopping list ..my memory is terrible!!

Gosh all these organised people! I've just remembered I do have another hardback notebook on the go regarding what needs doing in the house. I went round each room writing down everything that needed doing, painting, repairing what needed buying etc.

  • Hi everyone

I have decided to get organised with my finances for 2014 - I don't overspend as such but I feel I need to take a bit more notice of what I spend since I think I could save a lot more than I do!

So, I have bought a diary and a notebook but I'm not really sure where to start! I am not a home owner and, as such, I just have 2 household bills to pay (rent/council tax), all other bills are covered by other members of the family and I generally just tend to buy the odd bits of food here and there since generall food is also covered. I do have a car to run though.

Any tips of how you manage your finances would be most welcome!

    I mean to start 2014 super-organised!

I'm new to paying bills and the budget planner on this website certainly helps
