Ah, but I remember this posters post where they said they couldn't fit everything in, and were having problems with doing everything. This is just another symptom of that

My reply is number 4 on that thread ;)

Not being able to remember everything is often a sign you are trying to do too much but most stuff is necessary in my case, though in that thread I did suggest things which could be left out or put off for the OP ..

I do understand what you are getting at though.. :)

I am a huge list maker and now couldn't live without one note. A computer program that is part of office I think. It started small but I now have tabs for films to watch, shopping list, house jobs, work jobs, things I need from Ikea. Really worth getting and easy to use.

for your wishlist lists, you could consider using pinterest. It is an online pinboard. You can have lots of different boards on your account and curate them according to your interests. For example, I have a board for books that have been recommended, another for places I'd like to visit, recipes I'd like to try etc.

You could make a list of where all your lists are ;):p

A sort of list inventory :rotfl:

I don't know why I'm laughing. I have 2 calendars, a diary, my phone calendar and my notes on my tablet.

On top of that, I have a spreadsheet on my work laptop where I keep a load of nonsense too. It's a full time job. But my memory doesn't work the way it did a few years ago. And I have more people to remember for...

    :)

  • Haha, this sounds like me. I do try and keep everything on my phone but I alternate between the notes app and the calendar. Then I can't resist scribbling on post it notes at work and these end up in pockets or screwed up my bag to found days later... Why?!
  • I'm a list maker too, and save cuttings for decorating ideas etc and needed somewhere to keep it all together. My family were always teasing me about my lists - daily to-do lists, monthly goals, menu plans, my 101 things in 1001 days lists. It was all getting out of hand! :o

I now use a 'Household Management Folder' (yes, just one!) inspired by this thread:

There are some good ideas and links on the thread and I just adapted my folder to sections that suit me.

I probably make too many lists too. It'd be fine if I made the list and then took action on it, but many of my lists are repeated, just in different places! My "Christmas Presents Ideas 2013" list is in two notebooks and MS OneNote :o, along with lists and plans for small business and eBay selling that I plan to do. I try to use scrap paper for shopping lists and cleaning lists, as they can be thrown away when I'm finished with them.

I also have a small spending notebook, a recipe/mealplan notebook, and a notebook that is for more general stuff like planning the garden, homebrewing, events, ebay selling, ideas lists etc. I'd like to do a household notebook type thing but I think adding another book/file would overwhelm me, and I can fit most info I need into the three books I use.

Ha Ha!!!! I feel so much better already, you lot have lists just like mine! I am not alone!
I am going to do the A4 daily jobs list and stick it to my fridge, and have ordered some to do lists and notebook pages for my filofax so I can hopefully keep everything in one place.

I had forgotten about that post :o I have since gone through my freezer and chucked out a load of veg dating back to 2003/2004!! :o And everything I have been putting in there since I have put on an A4 page with what it is, when I put it in and how many bags, and the intention is to mark on there everytime I take something out.
I found so much fruit in there including lots of containers of pre cooked apple for crumbles :rotfl:
