A warm welcome to the thread ruby169. It's lovely to have you all with us. biggrin.gif Have fun saving in 2011. You'll find your numbers at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.

Sorry LC 2, it can't be tomorrow cause your tomorrow is my today, but........it may be tomorrow, then again it could easily be your tomorrow by your tonight, in which case it'll be my tomorrow and you're out of luck!!! :rotfl::rotfl: Easy see? :j

Thanks a lot, redcoltraine, but all in all you're ALL a great bunch - even LC 2 when she behaves! :D;)

dreamdreamer, if you were to ask Martin, his advice would be :money: to pay it off your loan - it would be mine too - if you were to ask. It would save a fair bit of interest. ;) Excellent news about your selling, all the best on keeping it up!

£2.51 in the tin(s) for me tonight. I hope I keep this up all year, I'll reach my goal with no problem :p

Of course you can keep it up JoeyGrey! However, if you find it's a struggle then put less in so you don't run yourself short through the year. Better to put less and keep it going, you'll enjoy it more that way too - do what you can afford! :)

By 'eck you're getting darn good, fingersxed!! :T

Here's mine for the week: A whole £5.80 in the pot and I'm quite chuffed after a lot of presents got via our DD who always has an eye for a bargain! :kisses3:

Good for you, Billie-jo. You also teeni and kochi1. :D

All the best to you, youngmummy and I do hope things will improve soon. One thing's for certain - you're NOT alone! :)

    Some good forethought there, Fiasco55!

Wrap up warm everyone, it's going to be wet followed by COLD!!!!

Sue x Anyone else wishing to join, please say the word, you're most welcome.

    Hi Everybody,

Finally! I've managed to clunk $16.54 into my sealed pot. ($16.53 from petrol cashback and 1 cent roadkill in Walmart carpark).

Hope you're all ok, has The Big Freeze arrived yet?

  • I dont s'pose anyone would want to admit to breaking into their pot so early into the challenge, im here to admit i have :o

This Morning i didnt have enough change in my purse for the kids bus fares to school, so reluctantly had to raid my pot :(

Its not all bad, just bad planning, ive been popping all my change into my pot each evening, and i forgot to take into account their bus fares last night, i did replace the £4 out with £5 note in :)

My pot is now resealed with gaffer tape, and i have decided to use a smaller pot during the week and transfer all cash collected during the week into the main sealed pot once a week. if that makes sense ?

Promise not to do it again :A its a lesson learned .

I'd like to join the challenge please. No target but have suggested to DH that we both contribute and use the money to buy xmas presents next year for each other, and relatives if we end up with a lot.

Had an unused terramundi pot for years which i've rescued from the charity shop pile this morning and added £11.80 from my purse and my 'easy access' money box :T

We collected coppers all last year and have about £20 to take to bank, going to do the same this year but keep it seperate from the sealed pot otherwise it will get too full too quickly!

  • Hi everyone.

Could I join in please? Tried this sort of thing before but allways ended up raiding it for various emergencies. If it's a sealed pot then hopefully I won't be tempted :o. Is it okay to put the coins in from this year to start me off as there's probably not enough to bank?

Also i'm going to save my clubcard vouchers again this year. This year the 4 of us went to Legoland for free, and they also paid for all my DS2s' Christmas presents :D
