just a flying visit before I go and wrap up 11 parcels from my ebay sales.
I hope everyone is well, I still haven't had chance to back track through all the posts I've missed - I didn't stop at the weekend.
I initially potted a nice shiney two pound coin when I got home from work but decided I would lift the cushions from the sofa and give it a good hoover and found a nice crisp 20.00 note underneathI'm now wondering do I fess up to hubby or shall I pop it in the pot ?!! I know it's not mine but I have no idea when it managed to worm it's way down the back of the cushions although I do hoover underneath them every 2 - 4 weeks (I should really do it more often) decisions decisions ...
 Hallooo daisygogo I say finders keepers. Get it in to the pot quick time.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: If he hasn't mentioned it then he hasn't missed it. Anyway he will benefit in the end too.;)
You have been busy well done sweetie. I am ashamed to say, I have not even managed to sort out my bits for ebay..I have been so so busy. One day, one day, I will make it happen.:o

 Evening lovely potters. A busy day at work for me but it keeps me out of mischief
.
Managed to lose 1/2lb this week, need to lose the 1lb now and a little more to get me back on track, but I am happy with that as I thought I had gained. :j. Lost weight but gained £4.50 in payment for helping out at fat club to feed Rosie.
Thats for the tips SparkyI had better be careful though when bending down otherwise there could be an awful accident!!! Squashed nose springs to mind or being trampled on in the rush by other roadkill lurkers.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hmmm! I wonder where the inventor is LC2 he is missed and its no fun poking fun without a reply but at least he knows we are thinking of him:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hi Sue, we miss you, hope you get back on line soon. xx

Thanks. I really want to do it this year. My circumstances changed from when I started last year, so wasn't able to complete, but things are a lot better for me now.
I'm going to be putting money that would have been wasted on unnecessaries in my pot. You know the couple of £ that you think, I'll just buy that chocolate bar, mag, etc with will be going in the pot (unless I really want said choc/mag). I'm not putting coppers in, they can go in my daughters piggy bank.
Just emptied a load of change from the bottom of my bag into my pot!:j
Your welcomeand I totally understand where you are coming form, used to buy endless magazines
Stopped doing that but still managed to waste the pennies....no longer though, I am now determined to pot as much as possible and think twice now before squandering my hard earned cash..God bless MSE and SPC :T:money:
Happy potting my dear.:DFootiemad:footie: 2013 - SPC no.1147...Keeep potting!!

well i went to town and walked round the monday market with my nose glued to the floor and could I find a single bit of road kill? could I heck as like  ! that sparky and his magnetic shoes has been round again, and I made sure I went early aswell
I was so upset I forgot to get money out of the back and had to use my debit card for my shopping so have had to nick a £ out of hubbys work tea money to put in my pot (i get a bit depressed if i dont get to clunk in the pot:rotfl:)
So a snaffled £1 donation to the pot today
Morning jakes-mum
You know what they say "The early bird gets the worm!" or should that be "The early potter gets the change!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It wasn't me guv honest I was roaming the streets of Liverpool looking for change and I found 6p. Also potted my usual £2 into the sealed pot, 50p change for the Summer 2011 tin.

Good morning fellow potters
Off to the dentist this morning for an emergency filling, darn tooth's been aching all weekend, so DW knows what sparky will be like when I get older (grumpy old man!)
Mind you she's known that for a while now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I should imagine

BTW, j-m, what's wrong with hubbys having remote control cars?? My DH loved them when our lad was young, he got the greatest pleasure from putting them together.
I have no probelms with the actual remote control car itself, its the 'I can get this wicked petrol powered remote control car for JAKE for free' (swapping something of his own) the car then not only ends up NOT to be for jake but for daddy, it also has so far cost me £70 to fix it and he keeps taking it down the muddy park and then taking it apart on my kitchen table afterwards leaving mud all over where we eat
He's terrible for 'stuff' I have had to impose a 6 month rule on him (thought it was meant to be for kids :rotfl:) dont use it for 6 months on ebay it goes! i've had phones, ipods, computer bits . . . . currently got my eye on the jeep watch he HAD to have which he wont wear because he's left handed and the windy bit sticks in his wrist (dont ask me why he cant wear it on his other wrist, i've asked to no response many times :rotfl:)SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Hello all,
Haven't been on here for a while, but am still squirrelling away the coins whenever I can - not as many as last year, but.....some is better than none IMO! I think I'm on about £14 or £15 at the moment.
Am still working on paying DH's nursing home fees AND not compromising on my quality of life. Apart from anything else, DH and I have always managed several trips away each year, and I really don't want to give that up.
Fortunately I enjoy doing all things OS, so get lots of small satisfactions from saving pennies here and there, doing the whole make do and mend thing etc., and am really s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g the budget until it squeaks
Am looking forward to going away at the end of next week, on a BTCV holiday (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers), cheap and cheerful, and I know I'll enjoy it.
Don't seem to be finding any roadkill (of the round and shiny sort) lately. Did see a woman bend down in the bus station recently, then spotted the 5p she was after - could have kicked myself for not seeing it first!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
hi,
there was another 75p added to the loose change bottle on friday. sadly there hasnt been anything added to main pot. i do have a few pound coins in purse but will keep them till weekend incase i need them.
i do plan on going seaside at weekend so i may take the 2ps out of change pot and replace with £1 coins etc. i'm sure my boys will want to play on arcades. as well as ice cream and sweets etc. BUT this does mean i may come back with lots of change.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
