£3.80 for me today, have got a couple of hundred greetings cards that I won in auction and want to get rid of them so took them into work and sold some to work mates so all that went in the pot, got some others interested so hopefully will sell more tomorrow!!

  • Thanks to everyone for their comments on the 'masterpiece' :p  :p....Right, I'll try to answer everyones questions, all at once in a bullet point style :D:
    • It took weeks, each papier mache layer took a few days to dry, sometimes more. There's some parts which have four layers...
    • It's a foot and 4 inches in height...
    • I've already planned the coins splendid exit...I have a drill bit which cuts out circles, I have a cork that can plug it back up when the time comes :D.
    • I forgot to mention his bow tie 'wiggles' too :rotfl:...the daughter loved that :D :rotfl: :D.

Right, a lovely 105 pence for the pot today...I wonder if I can coerce anymore from the lovely wifes purse :p.

Hope you've all had a good day, but have a better one tomorrow...:T :D :T

  • I'd like to join but my 'pot' is nearly full after many years filling on my own and 4 years as a joint effort with my fiance lol

We put in any 1,2,5 p's from our purse and wallet and ANY coins that we find in the street, except 50p which don't fit.

I painted it with glass paint, stencilled the lions from a baddiel and skinner CD .. anyone care to guess which one

Thanks a lot for that, cookanator. Most of us are aware, but many thanks for those who don't and for thinking of us. :)

  • May I be added in readiness for emptying the bottle? Hopefully in a few weeks time, would have been less if I'd had the courage to pick up the 8p I saw on the ground this morning :( It's so difficult when you're exiting a busy Metro station to bend over and pick things up, people are most likely to fall over me.

It's much more exciting to not keep count of what you've saved I reckon :T
