Am going to go for a minimum of £1 a day, but would hopefully like to reach about £500 for this time next year.

Good to know we're found by chance nakiwala123, though are you sure we weren't voted best thread of the year??? sparky reckons we are and.......I do too, but then I'd have to say that, now wouldn't I?!

Thanks for filling in sparky, had to take our Jessie for a walk, so very beautiful in the snow on the 2nd day ..usually it's going by now.

I went into a shop called "What" and bought 3 £1 tins - one for each of the kids for Christmas, and one for me.

I will use it for 10ps and 50ps. I haven't tested for £1 coins. I also have a big pottery pot, which has a neck which I believe is only large enough for 5ps and 20ps, but I will be able to get them back out by tipping up the pot, so it will last forever!

Oh and I found 5p on the bus and 3p in my knicker drawer.

VJ, if you can save that much per week, then you won't be doing to badly at all. This challenge isn't about great amounts, but regular savings, encouragement more than anything else. Any change from shopping...etc - pot it!
