I did this last year and it really helped.
I would like to join in again this year as i would like some spending money for my holiday.

Put £2.63 in the pot this morning. Then took mini-me to a sooft play area and got lunch there (I know, naughty Kim...) but put the change in the pot afterwards. Up to £4.96 already!

Hallo all. Hope you've all had a fab Christmas, and are still saving :A I've spend a little in the sales (still too much:o but better than last year:T).
A few coins in the pottie over the last few weeks. Have eaten WAY too much food though.:eek::eek::eek:

Well that's christmas over with! £3 in my sealed pot over the last week because I haven't spent any money!

Today is a big day for me in my steps toward being debt-free, I'm under 8k AND I'm over halfway - 50.1% paid off today! :j

evening all, went to the sales today and can only say, wish I hadnt bothered what absolute cac Ended up buying some ham as we had run out,a pack of sausages that were half price, 2 cadburys stars (reduced to 29p for DD & DS) and a tube of minstrels for 'himself' at 50p all from sainsburys, so absolutely nothing toward next chrstmas presents

Still, i got 40p in change which went in my pot so not all bad i suppose and can only view NOT spending a load of money in the sales as a good thing for my bank balance . . . .

I've decided to keep my sealed pot towards next Christmas and started a new pot which will be getting opened in the summer for holiday spends :beer:

Picked up the crackers, cards, wrapping etc for next year at the sales for under £10, got some essentials for myself and dd some clothes in next size up. Overall though think the sales were rubbish ...... or maybe my attitude to spending money is changing hmmmmmmmm

Not much in the pot but parted with the change from bus fare to the sales and found a bag of mixed coppers in a drawer so that made for a satisfying clunk.
