Arrrghghhhh Stupid buyers on ebay!!

Is it just me or are people getting dimmer.

I've been selling a lot of items recently to clear clutter and debts. All the items i sell are listed honestly including sizes dimensions etc.

Today i had feedback from a buyer (fortunately positive!!) which said

"fine thanks but expensive for the size"

This was an open auction not a BIN, so it was up to her if she bid that much on it, plus the size was very clearly stated in the title and description .

Can these people not read. Does make you wonder why you bother

    - Paypal only auctions they ask if they can pay another way - erm no thats whey I put paypal only!
    Weight Loss - 102lb
  • Having read some of the posts on here, i suppose i should be grateful that she didn't just neg me.

plus the positive is it's a step in clearing MY debts etc

I've had three neutrals in the last week because the items bought weren't as big as the buyers expected, even though they are the standard size for that kind of item, and all my listings have the actual dimensions clearly stated.

I've also had 4 foreign buyers try to pay me by methods that I do not accept (again clearly stated in my listings).

    Welcome to silly season. :(
  • Had another ask me if they could pay by check.
Wasn't sure if they wanted to pay with a nice plaid or tartan bit of material or send me a little eastern european person.

anyway replied that i was quite happy to accept a CHEQUE as listed in my methods of payment.

 The scary thing is it was a university textbook

I recently sold some GHD hair straighteners on Ebay which had a clear plug. I mentioned this in the listing and there was a photo of it as well. I got a question asking 'Do they come with a clear plug?' to which I replied they did. I then got another message from them saying 'thanks, but you never said if they are boxed'
Makes me wonder sometimes why I bother...
  • I sold an item recently where I clearly stated the dimensions, and the feedback comment was "item larger than I expected"

Are her inches smaller than mine???
  • Trust me on this one, peoples perception of inches are drasticaly different. What i see as 9 inches my misses dismisses as only being 3 1/2 inches.
Clearly she is wrong but it just goes to show that size perception is open to interpretation.:D ;)
Watch out, you never know who is about.
  • The thing i find annoying is when buyers use the message to seller box when checking out with Paypal, to say please send to another address.
If something sells i usually pack it straight away (or if m out, i get my dad at home to if its something easy) and send according to the info on the selling manager.
Starting putting item will be sent to your checkout address only messages on listings now.

Customer from the US bought a $12 money order, changed the $ to £ by pen and sent it to me to pay for a £12 item.

There are rude words to describe people like this.
